14th International BARS Conference

Call for Papers

Proposals were invited for the BARS 2015 conference, exploring the theme of Romantic Imprints — the marks, traces, and lasting impressions left by Romantic-era writing, print culture, and material texts.

Panels

A range of proposed panels were organised around the conference theme, covering diverse topics in Romantic studies. Panel submissions reflected the breadth of current research across the field.

Submission Guidelines

The Call for Papers invited proposals addressing the conference theme, Romantic Imprints. Submissions were welcomed on topics including, but not limited to:

  • Print culture and the material text in the Romantic period
  • Editorial theory and textual scholarship
  • Romantic-era authorship, publishing, and readership
  • Imprints of Romanticism in later literary and cultural movements
  • Digital approaches to Romantic studies

The conference was hosted by Cardiff University's School of English, Communication and Philosophy and the Centre for Editorial and Intertextual Research (ENCAP) in July 2015.
